Stone Chun Shi: Visionary Artist and Former MTV VJ 

Stone Chun Shi is a contemporary artist and musician whose work bridges visual expression and sonic innovation. Based in New York since the late 1980s, he rose to prominence in the early 1990s through Taiwan’s New New Generation ad campaign, which explored the lives and ideals of New York artists. Around the same time, he released his debut heavy metal album A Man on the Rock Street—produced and distributed by a major Taiwanese record label—which was hailed as a groundbreaking work that helped launch Taiwan’s rock music movement. He also performed the theme song for the widely popular TV drama The Seven Heroes and Five Gallants, which became a cultural hit.

Recognized for his unique voice and presence, Stone was invited to join MTV Asia as a VJ, where he hosted and produced rock music programs, earning coverage from major media such as the Los Angeles Times. In recent years, he has pioneered a new genre he calls “Flow Music,” fusing electric guitar with the meditative spirit of ancient Eastern melodies.
