Fang Tao Jiang, The New York Times-acclaimed soprano, made her sensational debut at Stern Auditorium, Carnegie Hall as a soprano soloist in John Rutter's Requiem. A winner of the Bellini International Vocal Competition, the young soprano has collaborated as soprano soloist and leading roles with more than eighty world-class orchestras and opera companies such as L'Opéra National de Bordeaux, Tokyo Opera, Teatro di San Carlo, Opéra de Nice, Zurich Symphony Orchestra, Santa Fe Opera, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, among others.
Equally at home with chamber music and recital repertoire, she has appeared as recitalist and chamber vocalist at prestigious music halls, including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Wigmore Hall, Suntory Hall, and NJPAC, to name a few. Reputed music critics have acclaimed her performances as “intensely expressive" (New York Times); “There is gold in her voice”(Classical Review). In 2013, she became the only Chinese classical singer featured as a soloist at ten consecutive Carnegie Hall presented ME concert series at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Jiang is also a sought-after and devoted contemporary music and Chinese music interpreter. In 2019, she performed the leading role of Diane in award-winning composer Huang Ruo’s opera <Bound> to critics’ highest acclaim. Her solo album <On Wings of Song> was released by Rhymoi label in 2019. This album was recorded with top musicians from world-class music organizations including New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Met Opera and grammy winner Attacca String Quartet.
